Student safety is the utmost priority. The Muss campus is heavily guarded, with structured supervision and security support.
Safety & Security Overview
Muss maintains continuous contact with the Israeli Home Front Command, local security forces, and the Ministry of Education. We re-evaluate security measures daily. Full cooperation with security staff, ID checks, and emergency alerts is mandatory.
In the event of an emergency alert or siren, the Muss team will react instantly and without question. Students will follow these emergency procedures:
Safe Travel Across Israel
Muss safety and security measures create the foundation students need to build independence and flourish in Israel. Because circumstances in Israel can change, families should speak directly with Muss about the campus, program, and itinerary they are considering.
Guided Group Travel & Staff Supervision
Exploring Israel is a wonderful privilege. To keep students safe, all field trips will be guided by Muss counselors, educators, and the security team. Structured itineraries follow Israel's Home Front Command procedures.
Open Communication & Accountability
Students are allowed to experience Israel on their own, but must always sign out and back in with their campus counselors. Students are required to travel in pairs at all times. Curfew is enforced following free time off campus.
Transportation Guidelines
Hitchhiking, driving, or any unauthorized public transit is strictly prohibited. When exploring in pairs, students must remain within the walking borders of campus. When traveling as a cohort, private bus transportation is organized.
01Indoor Protocol
If indoors, students are directed to enter a designated security room, close the steel window shutters, sit on the floor below the windowsill level, and lean against an interior wall.
02Outdoor Protocol
If outdoors, students will enter the nearest building or security room. Once inside, they must follow the directions for indoor protocols.
03When Traveling
The bus driver will pull over safely. Students will exit the vehicle and enter the nearest structure or shelter available.
