Muss offers a unique study abroad experience. A lesson may start in a classroom and continue in an ancient archeological site buried beneath a modern city. The movement between traditional study and real experience gives students something a textbook cannot—a personal relationship with what they learn.
At Muss, students walk in the footsteps of history, engage deeply with modern Israeli culture, and gain the perspective and independence that support college readiness and life beyond high school.

Recognized by more than 100 U.S. high schools and endorsed by Jewish National Fund-USA, all Muss courses, including AP and honors courses, are approved for transferable credits on students' official academic transcripts.

1972
Rabbi Morris Kipper founds High School in Israel with the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, offering two-month long trips to Hod HaSharon.
1980
Businessman and philanthropist, Stephen Muss, makes a generous gift to High School in Israel, renaming it the Alexander Muss High School in Israel in honor of his father. Students from across the U.S. can now attend.
2012
Jewish National Fund-USA acquires Alexander Muss High School in Israel, paving the way for expanded Israel education across North America, Europe, and Australia.
2023
JNF-USA opens Muss' second campus, Muss South, in Be'er Sheva, connecting Israel education to innovation efforts in southern Israel.
2025
Alexander Muss High School in Israel partners with the Dream Israel Teen Travel Initiative, providing students with travel grants up to $7,500 to attend the program of their choice.
2026
Alexander Muss High School in Israel is rebranded as Muss High School Israel, connecting all current students and alumni to the collegiate experience that Muss offers, as well as to the larger JNF-USA community.
