Fall Semester Students Celebrate Simchat Torah in Jerusalem Before Traveling North

This week began in Jerusalem, where our students celebrated Simchat Torah by visiting synagogues throughout the city, and joining in the many singing and dancing celebrations throughout the city.

After a meaningful start to the week, students returned to their regular rhythm on campus with classes, gym time, and time to explore Hod HaSharon. It was a nice transition back into routine after a wonderful stretch of chagim.

On Monday evening, students met with their teachers for thoughtful preparation ahead of the October 7 memorial. Together, the students created a beautiful memorial mural, giving the group time to reflect, remember, and connect through a shared project.

Later in the week, students traveled back to Jerusalem for a powerful visit to Har Herzl, where they honored Israel’s fallen soldiers and reflected on their stories and sacrifices. The day continued in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City, where students explored the beautiful architecture, rich history, and deep connection to Jewish life in Israel.

On Thursday, the entire group headed north for a fun day at Gan HaShlosha National Park (Sachne), swimming in the waterfalls and natural springs that make Sachne one of Israel’s most tranquil destinations. After a classic Israeli lunch, students ended the day in Tzfat, exploring the ancient city’s unique history, spirituality, and charm.
