Bringing the Classroom to Life

Bringing the Classroom to Life

After a lovely Shabbat on Kibbutz Sha’ar HaGolan, our students returned to campus and settled back into the rhythm of life at home in Hod HaSharon. The week began with regularly scheduled classes, giving students time to learn, reconnect, and get back into their regular routine.

Wednesday brought an exciting trip day! Students spent the day in the North farming and volunteering alongside Israeli peers. They helped Israeli farmers near the Sea of Galilee and connected with other Israeli high schoolers. Later, the group toured the historic Kinneret Cemetery with their Israel Studies educators, paying their respects to the early Zionist pioneers buried there, and bringing classroom learning to life.

On Thursday, students returned to campus from their trip and reflected on what they had learned off campus about early Zionism and the deep connection Israelis feel toward the physical land. Now, everyone on campus is preparing to welcome Shabbat together as a community.
