Barrack Students Conquer Yam L'Yam

It’s been another full and meaningful week for the students. Between academics and time on campus, the group prepared for the adventure ahead, heading off campus to pick up supplies for the much anticipated Yam L'Yam (sea to sea) tiyul (trip) before the journey began.

From Monday through Thursday, the students took on Yam L'Yam, one of the signature adventures of the Muss semester. Over the course of four days, they hiked approximately 45 miles from the Mediterranean Sea, across the country to the Sea of Galilee. Students spent long hours on the trail during the day, and at night slept in tents under the stars. This experience challenged them physically and mentally, but it also gave them the chance to discover just how much they could accomplish together. Step by step, they supported one another, pushed through difficult moments, and brought resilience, determination, and positivity to the trail.

After returning from the hike, Shabbat offered a welcome opportunity to rest and recharge. Some students spent the weekend with host families or family friends, while others remained on campus. Whether they were sharing meals away from campus or taking it easy with friends in Hod HaSharon, Shabbat was exactly what they needed after such an intense and rewarding week.
